Are You Having A Hard Time Staying on Track with Your Health Goals?

Take Back Your Health: Staying on TrackHello, my name is Amy and I am addicted to sugar…

…and wheat, and popcorn, and sweet tea, and french fries!

Staying On Track

Staying on track with health and food choices is really hard! I would say that this year so far, has been an epic fail for my health goals. Here’s the thing though, if you have made ANY changes, even if you only stuck with them for a couple of weeks, you are better off than you were. Continue reading

Homeschooling: Much More Than “Schooling at Home”!

Homeschooling Much More Than Schooling at HomeHello dear readers. Today I would like to share with you all a guest post from a very dear friend and sister in Christ, Cristine Pina. She is a wonderful woman of God, a mother and wife, and a huge inspiration to me. She also runs a Vlog, Delight Yourself In The Lord, on Youtube that you should really check out.

It is so important, whether we homeschool our children or not, that we instill the truth and virtues of Jesus into our children’s hearts. They are the future missionaries and disciples that will carry God’s word onto the next generation. This is our one true purpose in this world!

I hope that you enjoy Cristine’s beautiful words. Continue reading

Menu Plan Monday: April 24, 2017

Happy Monday!!

I hope that everyone had a great and restful weekend.

We spend Saturday at the dirbike track, which was really nice.

It was a vintage race. This is where some of the guys ride older bikes. It is really nice to see such a wide range of ages out enjoying the sport.

It is also really cool to see all of the older bikes fixed up!

The hubby ran two classes, a 30 minute GP class and an Expert 450 class. I was so proud of both of his races, he did amazing! In the 30 minute GP class he got a 1st place!!!

We had a great week as well. Thursday we got to enjoy Homeschool PE at the YMCA. While we were there I was able to spend time with some wonderful sisters in Christ. I left feeling so refreshed!

Friday was very interesting! During the week our washer broke so on Friday MK and I had to break out the hand-washing equipment and hand wash a load of clothes. Ya’ll… my upper body is SO sore! I had two blister in a matter of seconds. But it was so fun doing it with MK.

Hand Washing

Not sure what next week will bring, but at least the Menu Plan is done!

Oh! Later this week be sure to check out my guest post (Wednesday) from Christine Pina where she will be talking about our responsibility as parents to instill into our children’s hearts, God’s word and love.

What Are You Reading This Week? Check These Out!

Good Morning!

Well it is Sunday again! Goodness this year is flying by.
Unfortunately I have not gotten a whole lot of reading done this week. I feel like time is just flying by. I do not seem to have time to do the things that I would really like to do. I can get little snippets in, but nothing substantial.

My reading goals are flopping before my eyes!! Continue reading

If I Can Do It, You Can Do It! Clean Counter Tops!

Clean Counter TopsWe do not have long now…

We are on track to move into the camper where we are building our cabin. It is looking like the end of this month, maybe. This has been our plan for awhile, but we set a deadline for the camper to be on the land by the end of January.

It happened! It is out there!

This made me start thinking about packing a  lot in December. I could not wait for Christmas to be over so that I could get started. First, take the tree down and next organize the living room. Check!

Next on my list was something that I have wanted to do for awhile, but did not actually think it was possible for me; having clear counter tops in the kitchen. Continue reading
