TQH Weekly Menu Plan: 7/30/17

A weekly menu plan is a great way to ease stress and stay organized on those crazy nights when there is homework, baseball and a million other things to do.

 

Creating a weekly menu plan has really changed so much around my home. Just knowing what we are going to have when is one less decision that I have to make! And I am all for less decisions! I sit down once a week and plan out what we are going to eat. I have found that my family gets way more healthy food when I plan this way. And I am a lot less wore out with all the planning already done. It also means less trips to the grocery store for things that we need, but do not have. I hope that you will give it a try and enjoy some of the ideas that are listed each week.

Refresh and Refuel + Menu Plan

Happy Monday Morning!

We had such a blessed weekend that helped me to refuel for the week ahead! On Saturday we got started working on the siding for the cabin! Oh my goodness, it is so exciting to be able to do this part ourselves. It is going to be hard work, but oh so beautiful.

All three of us worked on it, and actually had a really good time. I love some good work!

Sunday we took our rest day by heading out to the Chatooga River. In places of such beauty it is easy to see how much the Father loves us! It was exactly what I needed! (I have a pretty busy week planned this week).

This country is teeming with beauty and wonder. Check out your local state parks, go for a hike, go fishing in a river, look for rocks with the kidoes. Get outside for a little while and breathe in the fresh air. Refresh yourselves so that you can pour into others throughout the week.


For the Menu this Week

Sunday: Meatloaf, Oven Roasted Carrots,  & Broccoli Salad

Monday: Creamy Fish Chowder (Pampered Chef recipe book), César Salad, and Roasted Asparagus

Tuesday: Grilled Burgers with Onions and Mushrooms, Grilled Potatoes, Buffalo Roasted Cauliflower

Wednesday: Chimichurri Steak Salad and Roasted Brussel Sprouts (PC recipe book)

Thursday: Honey Mustard Chicken, Radish Salad (PC recipe book), and Steamed Broccoli

Friday: Enchiladas, Salad, and Zoodles ( I love my Veggetti)

Saturday: Chicken Quesidillias with peppers and onions and Raw Veggies with Ranch

Snack: Oreo Stuffed Peanut Butter Blondies

The Greatest Blessings + Our Menu Plan

Last week a dear friend and fellow blogger wrote a wonderful post on taking the plunge and giving serious thought to homeschooling our children.

I know and completely understand that there are so many cases where this is just not possible. But if there are two parents in the home, I would urge you to really give homeschooling some thought. Talk with your spouse, other moms who homeschool, and most importantly to God. Trust me, there is not greater blessings than having your child schooled in a Christian environment. To watch them grow, learn, and explore in an environment where they are encouraged to be themselves and not come carbon copy of other children. To see their faith blossom and experience all of the ah-ha moments with them. It is a blessing like not other, and I urge you to consider it and bring it before God. Read more
