Menu Plan Monday: April 24, 2017

Happy Monday!!

I hope that everyone had a great and restful weekend.

We spend Saturday at the dirbike track, which was really nice.

It was a vintage race. This is where some of the guys ride older bikes. It is really nice to see such a wide range of ages out enjoying the sport.

It is also really cool to see all of the older bikes fixed up!

The hubby ran two classes, a 30 minute GP class and an Expert 450 class. I was so proud of both of his races, he did amazing! In the 30 minute GP class he got a 1st place!!!

We had a great week as well. Thursday we got to enjoy Homeschool PE at the YMCA. While we were there I was able to spend time with some wonderful sisters in Christ. I left feeling so refreshed!

Friday was very interesting! During the week our washer broke so on Friday MK and I had to break out the hand-washing equipment and hand wash a load of clothes. Ya’ll… my upper body is SO sore! I had two blister in a matter of seconds. But it was so fun doing it with MK.

Hand Washing

Not sure what next week will bring, but at least the Menu Plan is done!

Oh! Later this week be sure to check out my guest post (Wednesday) from Christine Pina where she will be talking about our responsibility as parents to instill into our children’s hearts, God’s word and love.

Ok, on to the Menu for the week!

Sunday: Mom’s Southwestern Chip Dip

Monday: Ham Salad/Chicken Salad and crackers

Tuesday: Fish, Zoodles, Quinoa, and Steamed Broccoli (I use this Veggetti)

Wednesday: Tex-Mex Chicken and Rice (Pampered Chef)

Thursday: Stir-fry with Chicken and Quinoa

Friday: Tacos

Saturday: Wraps/Eat Out

What is on your menu for the week? Want to menu plan but not sure about it all, check out my post on Why I Menu Plan.

I hope that you all have an amazing week!

  1. I too went through this with my washing machine and it always seems to be at a time when there is so much to do as well !! And jeans and towels are definitely the worse and with one daughter that gets mucky daily she works outdoors a washing machine is a must.

Yes, you are right, it is a must. We are a house full of dirtbiking boys! I need a washer! Now a dryer, I can live without if I have too, but not the washer! I am all about country and back to our roots, but that is back a little too far for me. I did enjoy it for the day, and will probably do it again. But to HAVE to, for EVERYTHING! Please no! LOL

  2. I have to admit I’m thankful that laundry is the one chore that my husband chose to do when we split everything up. I can’t imagine hand washing everything! (Though I know that when they did hand wash, they definitely re-wore things multiple times so there wasn’t so much laundry to do!) Sounds like it was a good workout at least.

Oh my gosh was it ever! I was so sore for 2 days. On Instagram I used the hashtag, #bestarmworkoutever! lol! You are very blessed to have a hubby who does the laundry. I am very blessed in that I have my two boys do their own. So keeping up with towels and mine and my hubby’s clothes are not too bad. But we are definitely looking at washers! It is not something that I can do every week!

  3. Handwashing…oh, my! Along with air conditioning and indoor plumbing I think I am most grateful for my washing machine. I often think of my grandmother and the way she had to do laundry early in her life. I hope you have yours back up and running soon!

I followed you here from I’m an Organizing Junkie. My menu this week involves using up perishables before an upcoming vacation.

Thank you so much for stopping by! While I do enjoy the handwashing I also hope we have a new one soon! Blue jeans, towels and sheets are not fun to hand wash! LOL! Thankfully last week I only did my husbands and my shirts and underthings. But it is getting time for the boys to wash their clothes and we are needing jeans washed! That is a little much for me. Honestly I am not sure how they used to keep up with it all! 🙂
