Happy Monday morning to you all! I pray that you all had a wonderful weekend and spring break, if it was that time for you!
Our weather was so beautiful this weekend. We also got to make it out to the land this weekend, which is always a blessing. JP worked on the grading for his parents place. They are building a small cabin on our land as we are building our cabin. I am so very excited for this. His parents are amazing, and it is going to be wonderful to have them just across the way.
I was not planning on taking a Spring Break. BB was at his mom’s for spring break and MK is homeschooled. We usually work through spring break so that we can get done a little early. He had worked his little booty off this year though and we are already done! I am so proud of him. We usually do not get done until the end of April, but because of the possibility of moving out to the land, I wanted to get ahead a little.
So last week I slept in all week, did not make lunches for JP, and did more of a “you are on your own” for breakfast. This was a really nice break, especially with all of the extra work from my brother-in-laws unfortunate fire. But we are back on routine this week and I must say that I am very happy about that! I was up at 5:30 am with my quiet and my God. Oh how I missed that morning quiet time. It is crazy how much of a difference it makes in my day. I also lost 2 1/2 hours of getting stuff done, while sleeping in. So I am very glad to be back on schedule.
Menu Plan Monday
Since we had a nice spring break last week our menu was a little off, so we will have some of the meals that we missed last week, this week. This means less grocery shopping for me! Woo Hoo!
So here is the menu:
Sunday: Left Over Taco Salad (for me Veggie Beef Soup)
Monday: GF Chicken and Dumplings
Tuesday: Gram’s Mexican Casserole
Thursday: Pulled Deer BBQ, Mashed Potatoes, Roasted Veggies
Saturday: Out to Eat for BB’s 16th Birthday!!!
